It’s Summer time! That means it’s time for beaches and BBQs, and that means you’re gonna need a badass Bluetooth speaker. Let’s get into the RIF6 10-Watt Bluetooth Speaker review!
Okay, now let’s get into the tech stuff. The RIF6 speaker contains two drivers and two passive radiators to increase bass responsiveness. The two drivers and one of the passive radiators fires out one side. If you lay the unit on its side, they would be firing out of the front of the unit. The second passive radiator faces the rear. This arrangement seems to be well thought out as it creates a very spatial sound, and you don't have to be right in front of the speaker to enjoy the quality sound.
The bass output for some reason, this speaker's bass is better than other speakers when used outdoors. It’s insane. My other Bluetooth speakers seem to do okay with bass when used indoors, but when I take them outdoors, you can hardly hear the bass. With the RIF6 speaker, the bass is easily heard outdoors. Now I can finally listen to my Meghan Trainor the right way.
This speaker also has voice confirmation, which is usually only seen in far more expensive speakers. It says "Power On", "Bluetooth Mode", "Bluetooth Connected", etc, which is a great feature. The absurd battery life has been a little under 24 hours during my tests. Do you know how annoying it is to leave music playing for 24 hours?! But seriously though, the battery life on this guy is insanely unnecessary. The RIF6 also uses Bluetooth 4.0, which is great for phone battery life and cuts on audio quality and delay.
The construction seems to be very rugged, with a silicone-like rubber surround bumper, which seems to be removable, but is held down by a bit of glue. All edges and corners are very well protected by this bumper.
Whenever I bring this speaker to outside gatherings, everyone is just blown away that such a tiny speaker can pack a huge punch. This is the perfect outdoors speaker. If you plan to have a beach or BBW gathering, you must pick up one of these.
